Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated must have an original printed negative COVID-19 PCR, NAAT, or LAMP test result. Travelers under the age of 2, travelers with a diplomatic passport and travelers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing they received all doses required are exempted from this requirement.

Taxi and Uber are commonplace and easy to use. A taxi ride from SAL airport to Sheraton costs around 35 USD.

Book your hotel stay early, the week of the 16th of November will be full of bitcoin events that will take over the city! We recommend the following options - Sheraton Presidente, Barcelo. If you choose to book an airbnb, here are the safe areas we recommend you look for - Colonia San Benito, or Colonia Escalon.

Tickets purchased for the conference cannot be reimbursed, but it is possible to transfer tickets to another person. If you pass on your ticket, please drop us an email so we can adjust the name on the conference badge.

Contrary to the international perception, El Salvador is a safe place, especially for tourists. Despite having a high crime rate, it is not dangerous for tourists to visit. Crime in El Salvador has declined and is isolated to specific areas that tourists will never enter.

As with any Bitcoin conference, don’t “bring” your coins to the conference and don’t carry valuable items with you.

A fun afternoon activity, you can choose to go the easy way or the HARD way depending on fitness and craving for adventure. Kids can easily make the hike down to wade in the picturesque pools of the 3 Tamanique waterfalls, while older teens and adults can rappel to the most beautiful parts of the river valley.
