Rene Pickhardt

Rene Pickhardt is an independent Lightning Network Researcher, Developer, Consultant and Educator. After discovering probabilistic pathfinding he was a pioneer in studying optimal payment flows. His main focus is to improve the reliability of the payment process but he has also pointed out several security issues. He is a long standing activist for open knowledge and answered over 50% of all questions tagged Lightning Network on Stack exchange. Rene has co-authored the book Mastering the Lightning Network and the Lightning Network Wikipedia Article. He also runs a Youtube channel about the Lightning network. He was a Teacher for Chaincodelabs' lightning Residency and openly shared over 300 slides examining the inner workings of the Lightning Network protocol.
